We have the power to make people feel great with our positive comments, so we need to make sure we don’t upset the blogger with a negative comment. We used the programme Make Beliefs Comix to make a comic strip about a quality blog comment. It was fun but a little bit challenging to make the comic strip. Have a read of our comic strips. Do they make you feel proud?

real and fake
We have been learning the difference between real and fake. We can use our 5 senses to know if something is real and I have added some images of real things on my first slide. Fake things can be in our imagination and are not real. I have added some fake images to my second slide. It is important to know the difference when I add things to my digital footprint.

Persuasive writing
kia ora, over the past few weeks in class we have been learning about persuasive writing. below is my persuasive writing I hope you enjoy reading it.
I am student at HPS and my name is John.
Did you know that art helps with the developing of the brain! This is why I think an art room
here at Hps would be benefit the whole
school and by having an art room we would
be able to do more art activities. Art is very healthy for us because it engage many area,s of our Brain and also have far-reaching effects on the learners mind.
And another reason is art promote social
skills that enhance the awareness and respect of others. And this has been shown
In study,s that have been done. And by having an art room would free up space in our class room/and we would be able to have more room and more storage to be able to do more art supplies, to be able to do more art activities which helps with our learning. And make more messy art which is fun. And it will cost lots of money so we could do fundraising and find a business to sponsor the art room and name it after that business.on closing/i think these reasons supporting my great idea of getting an art room built at Hps. please think about all the good benefits it would give so many students and teachers. thank you for listening.

Self Portrait
The best images to use on our posts are ones we have created ourselves or our own photos. We have been using Google Drawing to create our own and have learnt how to use new tools to make a self portrait.
We took a selfie and had to make sure we had our head and shoulders in the picture before we fitted it to the page.
Next we used the polyline tool to draw around our face because it is the only line tool that you can colour in.
This was tricky because I was tapping a lot
Next we had to match our skin colour and then we went into the custom tool so we could make our fill transparent.
We did this so we could see our eyes, mouth and nose.
We used the magnifying tool to make these a bit bigger.
I’m happy with the way my face looks on my self portrait because my eyes look great.
I will have to work on my using the polyline.
Thank you for reading my blog post. HAve you ever tried to draw your own self portrait? If not, I hope you will have a go and share your effort with me.
